Common Rules and Regulations

Pudhuvai Youth Fest 2026 – A Celebration of Talent, Diversity, and Togetherness.

  • Participation is open to citizens of Puducherry.
  • Participants must be between 16 to 32 years of age as of 1st January 2026.
  • PYF proudly welcomes participants of all genders, including male, female, and third gender—ensuring equal opportunity and respect for all.
  • All participants must register online through the official PYF portal before the announced deadline.
  • Incomplete or late registrations will not be considered.
  • Registration can be done individually or as part of a team, depending on the event type.
  • Each registrant must provide valid ID proof (such as a student ID, Aadhaar, or passport).
  • Teams can include participants from the same or different institutions/organizations.
  • Each team must adhere to the specified size mentioned for each event.
  • Substitution of members is not allowed after final registration unless approved by the organizing committee.
  • All participants must maintain decorum, respect, and inclusivity throughout the fest.
  • PYF is a zero-tolerance event against discrimination, harassment, or hate speech of any kind.
  • The use of alcohol, tobacco, or banned substances is strictly prohibited.
  • Participants must follow all instructions from volunteers and organizers for safety and smooth functioning.
  • A participant may register for multiple events, provided there is no time clash.
  • Reporting time for each event is 60 minutes prior to the start.
  • Judges’ decisions will be final and binding.
  • Any malpractice or rule violation will result in immediate disqualification.
  • PYF provides gender-neutral facilities and accessible venues for participants with disabilities.
  • All participants are encouraged to promote inclusivity, unity, and respect for diversity in their performances and interactions.
  • Participants should wear appropriate and respectful attire suitable for a public and multicultural environment.
  • Costumes or performances should not promote violence, hate, or offensive content.
  • Participants will not be provided any accommodation.
  • Meals and refreshments will be arranged during the event days for registered participants upon availability.
  • Winners will receive cash prizes, trophies, and certificates as per event categories.
  • Every registered participant will receive a Certificate of Participation.
  • Prize distribution will take place during the PYF 2026 Grand Finale Ceremony.
  • By participating, individuals consent to the use of their photos, videos, and interviews for PYF promotional materials.
  • Unauthorized filming or broadcasting within the venue is not permitted.
  • The organizing committee reserves the right to modify schedules, venues, or rules if required.
  • The organizers will not be responsible for any loss, injury, or damage incurred during the event.
